Dr. Ulm was a strength coach for 10 years before he became a physician. This background heavily influences how he practices.  Now, after almost 10 years as a physician, he wants to help strength coaches and personal trainers benefit from the knowledge and experience he has gained from treating patients.  In addition to treating patients at CCRC, Dr. Ulm teaches rehab and strength training all over the world and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on stability, rehabilitation, squatting, core strengthening and strength training exercises.  For more information visit his performance page: www.Athlete-Enhancement.com

This course is designed for personal trainers and strength coaches who are interested in digging deeper into movement, function and performance.  The focus of the course is to improve the coach's understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and function of the lumbar spine to enable them to train their athlete/clients for both performance and resilience.   There will be some lecture, but the majority of the course is hands on.  The purpose is to provide the attendees with useful insights, tools and exercises that they can use with their clients immediately.

Course Outline:

09:00 - 10:30  Lecture on spinal mechanics, anatomy and the proper stabilization.

10:30 - 13:00  Workshop exercises and tests
